For couples who hate posing but still want awesome photos.
Hi, I’m Ben — a Hertfordshire-based wedding photographer capturing fun, relaxed and colourful documentary wedding photography across Hertfordshire, London, the UK and abroad.
I tell the story of your day exactly as it happens. No awkward posing. No forced smiles. Just real emotion, big laughs, happy tears and all the brilliantly quirky moments between you and your favourite people.
If you're planning a wedding in Hertfordshire (or anywhere in the world), I’d love to third wheel with you.
If you’re anything like me, you probably hate having your photo taken and feel super awkward standing in front of a camera.
That’s exactly why I shoot weddings the way I do.
As a Hertfordshire wedding photographer specialising in relaxed, documentary wedding photography, my aim is to help you feel completely at ease so you barely even notice I’m there, but I’ll be quietly capturing the laughter, the chaos, the hugs, the dance floor madness and everything in between.
Your wedding day should be spent celebrating with your favourite people, not standing around for a long photoshoot. I’ll only ever steal you away for five minutes to capture some natural, unposed portraits of you just being you — then it’s straight back to where the fun is at.
I'm over the moon to have won Photographer of the year at the Wedding Industry awards for 2026 out of so many talented photographers. Big shout out to all the couples that voted for me to get there in the first place and the Judges for selecting me in the region. It was such a great experience that I shared with my wife and I also had a little hype squad wedding suppliers I know in the industry cheering for me as I walked down the aisle of high fives to collect the award. It was such a lovely surprise that I won't forget.
Excitedly I'm now in the top 10 for the UK in the national finals!!!
Every wedding is different, and that’s exactly how it should be. My job as your Hertfordshire wedding photographer is to capture the moments that make your day uniquely yours — the atmosphere, the energy, and all the little things you’ll want to remember years from now.
Most of my work leans towards documentary wedding photography in style with a subtle fashion-inspired edge. I’m there quietly capturing the real, unscripted moments — but when we do sneak off for a few minutes, you’ll also get natural, un-posed, relaxed street style couples pictures that feel effortless rather than forced.
Most of the day is about storytelling: the laughs you didn’t see, the reactions you missed, in-between moments that make your wedding feel like your wedding. And thanks to my fashion background, you get the best of both worlds — authentic documentary coverage with a creative, stylish twist.
You'll find no cheesy prom poses and no awkward instructions here ! Photographing real emotions and real fun moments is what I do best — whether that’s in Hertfordshire or anywhere else in the world.
I'm relaxed by nature and that flows through in my approach to photography to produce an authentic collection of memories that you can look back on with a smile knowing I had just as much fun as you did.
Expect me to be making friends with Aunty Sue and Grandma Betty and getting up close to all the real moments. I love the fun, the laughter, the slightly awkward and risky moments that occur throughout a wedding day that make your day unique to you. I'm basically there to tell "your" story of "your" day exactly as it happens.
I love to get into the thick of where the action is at so expect to see me getting involved with you on the dance floor with a camera in one hand, a beer in the other and a massive smile on my face.
I bloody love a good party !
I’m based in Hertfordshire and photograph weddings across St Albans, Hitchin, Hertford Harpenden, London and throughout the UK.
Planning something further afield? I love to travel and am always up for an adventure — whether that’s a city celebration, a big posh stately home, something a bit more DIY or a destination wedding abroad.
Wherever you’re getting married, I’ll be there capturing it exactly as it happens.
If you’re looking for a Hertfordshire wedding photographer who won’t make your day feel like a photoshoot, I’d love to hear about your plans.
Tell me what you’re planning, where it’s happening, and what matters most to you.
