Winner of the best Wedding Photographer East of England 2026 – The Wedding Industry Awards – TWIA.

This week I attended my first Wedding Industry awards with no real expectation of coming away with anything other than maybe a hangover, but I only bloody went and won best Wedding Photographer 2026 for East of England. This is my third year photographing weddings so it really was such a lovely, unexpected surprise.

I didn’t really know anyone there and as i’m a bit shy and introverted at big social events full of people I don’t know, I brought my wife along for moral support and we both had such a great time. Big shout out @jpcreative, (go check them out), a fabulous pair of wedding stationers I know who were up for an award as well. It was so great to see them both and I really appreciated them being my little hype squad and cheering me on when my name was called out and as I did my awkward little walk down the aisle.

There were so many other talented photographers nominated, so I am really over the moon to come away with the win in such a tough category. Big congrats to all the other winners, the highly commended, and everyone who took part in the East of England region as well. It’s an amazing achievement just to take part.

Thank you so much to all my couples who voted for me to be a regional finalist in the first place. It means so much to have been trusted to shoot your day and know you were really happy with the photos produced. Big thanks also has to go to the pro judges, i’m sure it was a really tough decision to make.

Im now onto the national final in Liverpool in January with 9 other incredible photographers and I can’t wait. Most of them are mates, so it will be lovely to hang out and cheer them on.
